These bricks are CNC machined from a solid billet of Honduran Mahogany and are sized to be compatible with industry standard bricks such as those made by LEGO®. These exotic wooden bricks are crafted from solid wood, with no stains or dies giving them a vibrant orange luster not seen in standard plastic bricks. These bricks weigh in at a feather light ~ 2.1 grams compared to the standard LEGO® brick’s weight of just 2.5 grams.

There are many Mahoganies, but Honduran Mahogany is the de facto standard. This is the Mahogany by which all others are judged. Honduran Mahogany was widely exploited for its shimmering beauty and put on the CITES list and thus limiting its international export to certified sustainable resources.  As a result Honduran Mahogany is now grown on many plantations throughout Central America.

Honduran Mahogany, just as quite a few other trees in its family, grow an odd fruit on it. This odd fruit is called “skyfruit,” because it seems to grow from the tree as if it’s about to fly from its branch. Inside of the this “Fruit” are up to 70 winged seeds.
